HOT Date Night

Last night was a HOT one......a HOT date that is!

Liz and I went to Dinner (Sushi) in a Limo (Baltimore City Cab - air conditioned) and then to a concert!

You want the details....I got 'em....

Literally 100+ degrees all day, went down to maybe 98 degrees by dinner time.  Liz ordered the "specialty rolls" at the Sushi place and I ordered the practical "basic rolls".  Of course I eat both types and know that the  "specialty rolls" taste better, but the cost is outta sight.  It's amazing what you start to rationalize when you have so few date nights.....we even got desert and sake!  Crazy stuff.

So Liz looked beautiful (as she always does) and I was asked (politely) to change my clothes twice as I was dressed for a hot day on the golf course....

What do you talk about when you are on a HOT date......your kids of course....it's unavoidable.  Dinner took a little longer than expected and we walked a few blocks to Pier 6 for the Dierks Bentley Concert (he also has a bent left ear just like our Bentley).  This place rocks.....3,000 seats and space for another 1,000 on the lawn.  We were 20 rows back and didn't sit for a second (that's a lie...Liz had super high shoes of which she proclaimed this morning - "that was a bad decision"....I didn't say a word (out loud)...

Dierks Bentley
My ears are still ringing a bit, but it was worth it.  It was so hot that people from the crowd were bringing Dierks beers......

Post concert...cabbed it home after a short walk and came home to P and B, Riley and Matt (Riley/Matt - thanks for being there).

P was sleeping in B's home and B was sleeping in P's home.  Of course they both woke up at 6 am....like every other day.

The good news is...the boys are still handsome (and once again...you talk about your kids)

Junkyard no more!

Today was bulk trash day so we no longer have a toilet, sink or grill outside. For all those that have yet to visit..Liz calls our Back Patio a 'hazard'....

Hazard no more.....outdoor kitchen is on the horizon and pretty soon we'll be having 'Major League' parties.....

Happy Independence Day!

Hello Friends and Family!!

As we enjoy this patriotic holiday in Baltimore, MD... we are wishing a wonderful day to all of our friends and family who live across this Great Nation.  We will be enjoying the sun, the outdoors, the hotdogs, the beer and everything else that makes today great!

Speaking of great... here is what makes our world way better than great!!

Yes... I probably should have ironed the sheet... but, it was sort of a spontaneous adventure!  I realized the boys pajamas were patriotic and the neighborhood posted flags in our garden...

And... just for fun... the outtakes:

We had to remove the flags... too distracting for Parker.

... and then he started eating the backdrop!

The End!

Roll roll roll your butt, gently down the hall.....

The time has come that we must contain Parker.  Parker gets to where he wants with a series of steam rolls and then 45-90 degree turns to change direction.  It's not super efficient, but he eventually gets to something that invariably lands in his mouth.

On a side note, he is living up to his nickname (Tank Jr.) as he literally took the Biodome and flipped it over his head.  (He reminded me of Bam-Bam from the Flintstones).

Park Park did knock the mirror over which lucky for him didn't break as I'm sure he doesn't want/need 7 years of bad luck!
