Conversations

Many of you all have seen the youtube video of the toddler twins speaking to eachother in their own language.  My wonderful Nanny, Julia, sent me this picture today.  Not only did it make my day, but it may me leary of our future chatterboxes!  They are already sooooo vocal... I can't wait to see what they say first!

Imagine a conversation such as:

Bentley:  Dude the sunglasses are for wearing, not eating.
Parker:  But, I like to eat everything! You think I get these rolls just by sitting around doing nothing.
Bentley:  Yeah... well... those rolls are what get you stuck in the Bumbo.  You know that Mommy almost had to use PAM the other night.
Parker:  Not true...  mmm... they taste so good!

In other Milestone Alert News: Both Parker and Bentley rolled from back to front today!!  Neither Scott nor I saw it, but as soon as we do... and as soon as we catch it on tape...  we will post it here!!

Milestone Alert: Sitting Unsupported

With a little help... the boys can sit up... until they are distracted (by everything)... and then... they topple!

Parker

Bentley

Of note: They are most frequently distracted by things, such as: their right hand, their left hand, their thumb... etc.

Feeding Time

Feeding time at the Hines House can be interesting.  The boys are now using the Bumbo's (blue seats below).  However their thunder thighs make the seat quite the tight fit.  In fact, getting them out of the Bumbo is funny as it always sticks to their bum (we should call it the BumParker and BumBentley).

So what did we eat today?  Mommy made us some coconut rice pudding with apricots and some peas.  We washed it all down with 'ol reliable......more stuff made by mommy....

You may wonder why they are shirtless and the real answer is it was just prior to bathtime, but this worked out to be genius as 1) the boys love to be quasi naked 2) we didn't dirty yet another bib 3) we got to see their huge muscles (be sure to zoom in!)

Mother's Day Picnic

Happy Mother's Day!!

To all the mothers out there... and grandmothers and sisters and friend and aunts and just in general women everywhere who spend time making other people feel loved...  Happy Today To You!!

I had a wonderful day with my family today... a very special first mother's day!  The boys woke up early and spent some Big Bed time with mom and dad.  They got me a really great card (Thank You Julia)!!  After breakfast and morning nap (yep... all 4 of us got a nap!), we headed out on our adventure for the day!!

Packed up in the stroller, we crossed Boston and went through Korea and landed on our favorite knoll by the harbor for some picnic time.

Thank you Scott and Parker and Bentley.... Mommy loves you all!

Is today the day for the arrival of the Little Lady??

Wouldn't it be fitting if today was day as it is 5-7 (aka Hines 57).

Or tomorrow; Mothers Day

Or Monday, The boys 6 month birthday.

Jessica and Ryan...your DINK (Double Income No Kids) days are OVER!

Look how happy they were just one year ago....

6 months Doctor Visit

Boy time flies.......6 months Doctor's visit (4 days early) was a success.  2 shots and one oral vaccine and only a few tears.

Parker 18 lb 4 oz 27.5 inches 17 inch head

Bentley 18 lb 1 oz 27.5 inches 17 inch head

90th Percentile in Height 75 Percentile in Weight 50th Percentile in Head Circumference.

Parker must have known that he needed to "make weight" as he took the largest poop of his life just prior to the visit.  It was gross!

Milestone Alert: Holding a Bottle

As Scott would say: Bentley is going to eat to live... Parker is going to live to eat!

And in true form, Parker is officially holding his own bottle!

Other exciting food news, they definately have some favorite solids, including: Bananas with Oatmeal, Applesauce and Pearsauce.  We did make them Green Beans and Squash last night, so we will see how that goes this week.

Liz, Scott, Parker and Bentley

PS: Hoping to post later some fun pictures of our picnic time.  It has been beautiful in Baltimore and we have been spending lots of time outside with the Twinkies.
